When it comes to the spanking-new 2017 Sportage, we here at DCH Kia of Temecula have half a mind to declare this compact crossover one of the industry's best.

However, in the interest of fairness, we feel the better approach would be to allow you to arrive at your own conclusion.

Check the clip below -- a video review of the Sportage from the fine folks at Autotrader -- to do just that:

There are two distinctive engine options within the Sportage portfolio. Both are tied to a six-speed automatic transmission and are offered with your choice of either front- or all-wheel drive.

First up is the entry-level 2.4-liter four-cylinder. Standard with the LX and EX trims, this four-banger dishes out a decent 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque.

And then there's the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder of the top-of-the-line SX Turbo trim. Good for a goliath 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, this turbo-four is a great selection for the driving enthusiast.

For more information about this handsome utility hauler, or to take the wheel of one, we invite you to swing by our Temecula, CA showroom. Our seasoned staff is available to address your every question regarding the Sportage, or any other Kia model throughout the current catalog.
