Routine, Rules, and Safety: Making Your Carpool Stress-Free

It's always a priority for us at DCH Kia of Temecula that our customers keep their children safe on the road. The start of a new school year is exciting but sometimes stressful. Read our tips for having a safe carpool to school.

Three things to focus on when planning with other parents are the carpool route, schedule, and rules for both parents and kids. Assign the same day each week to a particular parent, and make sure to get emergency contact information for everyone in your carpool.

Make sure that every parent has enough seats for each child: one child per seat. Never double up, even if it's an extremely short ride to school. Keep in mind that a child has to be 13 years or older to ride in the front seat.

Always remain in park until every child has buckled up.
